Liquid Thermal Shock Chambers

Immediate temperature shock for faster testing

Liquid thermal shock chambers consist of separately controlled hot and cold baths. Product is submersed in fluid and thermally stressed between the hot and cold baths, resulting in immediate product temperature changes. We use perfluorinated fluid that does not coat the product or conduct electricity for use in both the hot and cold baths to eliminate cross contamination and reduce evaporation losses.

The CSZ TSB-Series units contain a vapor-tight, stainless steel construction with a vapor expansion system that dramatically reduces the evaporation and fluid loss usually associated with liquid thermal shock equipment, lowering your operating costs over the life of the system.

  • EZ-View optional software allows user to control and monitor up to 20 chambers from any location.
Thermal Shock Bath
  • Single basket arrangement of mesh stainless steel to minimize thermal mass.
  • Gear-driven transfer mechanism smoothly moves the transfer basket with proximity switches to stop the basket if there is a loss of electrical power, fluid or if the lid is opened.
  • Lid incorporates a window for viewing product under test
  • Casters are provided for ease of mobility around your laboratory. Casters are heavy duty swivel type designed for long life under heavy loading.
  • All liners are constructed from Type 304 brushed stainless steel that is easy to clean. All seams are continuously welded to form a hermetically sealed unit to prevent moisture migration.
  • The chamber exterior is constructed of formed sheet steel for structural strength and finished with a durable powder coat finish or textured polyurethane paint.
Thermal Shock Bath Refrigeration
  • Pressure gauges allow operating pressures to be continuously monitored and provide early warning indicators.
  • CSZ test chambers utilize refrigerants which are environmentally safe, non-flammable, non-explosive and have a Zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP).
